Updating datatable row
Due to customer requirements that are inflexible, this data MUST be maintained via an external application using the REST API.A typical scenario is, say you have to loop through a Data Table rows and do some calculations on the rows and delete some rows depending on the condition. Input names in the form must coincide with item properties from teh initial dataset (those you include into #hash signs# within data template) for the list.Having finished editing data in form fields, call the save function to push new data into the list. As of now, the application runs perfectly and does exactly what I need it to, but the problem comes in when a large data set is reviewed. If I am pulling records for one day or even maybe a week, it runs at a decent pace, but once you get a month of data or more, it takes a fairly long amount of time. Is there possibly a better way that I can code this?event returns correct Object (dragged one), which is unedited, because values are overwritten to Object in old position. This editing could work correctly or dragging could be disabled when rows are edited.
Therefore the correct row will be updated in the model (Object()) but the response will contain the new client id of the row so that the wrong row will be replaced in the DOM. The correct object will be updated in the model and rendered again.
The result of the rendering will be part of the response.
Since the object is at index 0, the client id of the row will become cars:0, that is No, it's not only the response and redrawing.
This example is enhancing the previous JSF 2 data Table example, by adding a “update” function to update row in data Table. Add a “ediatble” property to keep track the row edit status.
I've been working on this for a while now, and I'm getting a little frustrated with what I think is probably a simple thing to implement.
