Trigger updating same table sql server Cubersex webcam

Tickets Table(Question varchar(max), Answer varchar(max), Modified Answer bit....)When the question is inserted, the Answer Column is null and the Modified Answer is 0.When the Answer first entered the Modified Answer column is still 0.Dear All, I have a table in which there are fields like Quantity, Price, Total etc. We have an interface where user can change the quantity (only quantity). How will I know for which row the quantity is updated..? I want to write a trigger on this table which calculates Total (qty * price) whenever qantity is updated. However when the Answer is updated the Modified Answer column is set to 1 permanantly. Also I wanted to correct a typo on my original post: "Here is what I came up with: I had set a constraint on the Answer Modified with a default value = 0, so I am thinking that would suffice for the first update of the "Answer" column." kw Ok here's what I expect to see when the original answer is entered into Table1SELECT Answer, Answer Modified FROM Table1WHERE ID = 'ABC'Answer Answer Modified--------------------------- --------------This is the original answer 0Today when I run this update statement: UPDATE Table1SET Answer = 'This is the modified answer'WHERE ID = 'ABC'Then run the same select statement as above and I get: Answer Answer Modified---------------------------- --------------This is the modified answer 0My expectation is to get this instead: Answer Answer Modified---------------------------- --------------This is the modified answer 1Thanks for any help.kw:( Naw... "FROM atbl_Bids_BEQregister (NOLOCK) T"I have very rarely see NOLOCK used where it wasn't a sign of a problem in the code or design of the system. Here is what I came up with: I had set a constraint on the Answer Modified with a default value = 0, so I amm thinking that would suffice for an update of the Modified Answer. Avoid using this unless you have a real, unavoidable, problem. You are joining in the PK and then on a column in INSERTED not matching the [Answer].

Answer Modified = 1, CUT = 0 FROM atbl_Bids_BEQregister (NOLOCK) T INNER JOIN Inserted I ON I. This WHERE clause will mean that zero rows are updated No sense updating if the row already has those values.

Looks like what you are trying to do is use recursive triggers. You can check if it is turned off by running this query: If it is indeed turned off, and you want to turn it on, it would be advisable to do a lot of testing and evaluation to see what if any impact that would have on other triggers.3.

I did not completely follow the logic that you are trying to implement, but it seemed like you are trying to recursively update a column until it settles down to some value.

These columns must be included in the UPDATE statement to meet the NOT NULL requirement of the column.

However, if the UPDATE statement references a view with an INSTEAD OF UPDATE trigger, the logic defined in the trigger can bypass these columns and avoid the error.
